Frequently Asked Questions

What makes MyBeeBear different from pull-ups and disposables?

Unlike disposable pull-ups that hide wetness entirely, MyBeeBear uses 100% organic cotton to preserve sensory feedback — helping children build the body awareness needed for real potty training progress. A hidden pocket lets you add absorbency pads to manage leaks during outings, naps, and nighttime. Each pair is reusable for 300+ washes, making it a fraction of the cost of disposables over time.

NOTE that MyBeeBear underwear is not intended to replace a diaper. If an accident occurs, change your child promptly as you would with regular underwear.

Do they work for overnight use?

For nighttime use for kids over 4 years old we recommend using several disposable pads to help address heavy leaks. Our hidden pocket can fit up to 3 heavy absorbency disposable pads. The layered system provides full-night protection without bulk or diaper-like feel.

How many pairs do I need?

For daytime potty training, most families need 4–6 pairs to cover accidents and washing cycles. For nighttime training or bedwetting, 3–4 pairs is a practical starting point — one on the child, one washing, and one or two in reserve.

How do I wash MyBeeBear underwear?

Machine wash cold and tumble dry low or hang to dry. Avoid fabric softener as it reduces absorbency over time. A quick rinse of heavily soiled pads before washing is recommended. With normal care, each pair lasts 300+ washes.

What size should I order?

Please refer to the MyBeeBear sizing chart on the product page. The most important measurements are waist circumference and hip circumference. If your child is between sizes, size up — a roomier fit is easier to pull on independently and accommodates the booster pad insert comfortably.

Are they suitable for older kids with bedwetting?

Yes. MyBeeBear fits children up to age 10 and is designed to look and feel like real underwear, not a diaper — which matters for older kids who are self-conscious about bedwetting. The adjustable booster pad system provides nighttime leak protection while maintaining a slim, discreet profile. Note that MyBeeBear underwear is not intended to replace a diaper. If an accident occurs, change your child promptly as you would with regular underwear.

Are they safe for sensory-sensitive or autistic children?

Yes. MyBeeBear is made from 100% organic cotton with no synthetic fibers, no GMOs, and no PFAS — making it a popular choice for sensory-sensitive and autistic children who are particular about textures and materials. The soft, tagless construction is designed to feel as close to regular underwear as possible.

Are underwear and pads sold separately?

Underwear and pads are sold separately so families can choose the absorbency level that fits their child's needs. Light daytime training may require no pad at all. For naps, outings, and nighttime leaks you may wish to add the MyBeeBear Reusable Booster Pad, or a compatible disposable booster pad, or layer a few for heavy wetters.

Are these underwear designed for daytime potty training or nighttime only?

Both! Our underwear has a unique adjustable absorbency feature and can be used for daytime training, as well as to help manage leaks during naps, outings, and travel. When you and your little one are ready, it also supports the transition away from nighttime diapers. Just add one or several pads inside the hidden pocket to prevent leaks when needed.

Are MyBeeBear underwear free from harmful chemicals?

Yes. MyBeeBear underwear is made from 100% organic cotton with no GMOs, no PFAS, and no synthetic fibers. Conventional disposable training pants often contain chemical superabsorbents and synthetic materials. MyBeeBear is designed to keep those away from your child's skin entirely.

How long does it take to see results with nighttime training?

Nighttime dryness develops on its own timeline, controlled by many factors, such as brain-bladder connection and a hormone called ADH that the body gradually produces at higher levels during sleep, among others. MyBeeBear supports the process by preserving sensory feedback through organic cotton — keeping the brain-bladder connection developing and helping kids graduate from diapers faster and with confidence. Most families notice fewer accidents within the first few weeks of consistent use, but results vary by child.
